Introduction

As Ford Motor Company's first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), the Bronco is an icon in off-road history. In 1965, race car builder Bill Stoppe assembled a team of first-generation Broncos for long-distance off-road competitions. They took part in the Mint 400, the Baja 500 and the Mexican 1000 (later renamed the Baja 1000).

Overview

In developing the officially licensed SCX10™ III Early Ford Bronco 4WD, Axial® engineers redefined the limits of ready-to-run scale crawler features, functions and performance. All of the key components that have made the SCX10™ III platform so successful have been carried over, and new features never before found in an Axial® RTR or any other RC vehicle have been added. Without a doubt, this model is one of the most detailed models Axial® has ever produced and is the perfect choice for new scalers, enthusiasts and aficionados alike.

The Bronco is the perfect choice for new scalers, longtime rock crawler enthusiasts and all experience levels in between.
The Bronco shines inside and out with unparalleled detail and will impress even die-hard Ford fans. The polycarbonate body features an injection molded roll cage, functional tubular framed doors and hidden body mounts to maintain the scale look. Mudguard extensions and stone guard strips, in keeping with the era, provide additional protection against damage. Other scale details include an air scoop on the hood, license plates, windscreen wipers and LED headlights and tail lights. However, many scale details are fully functional, such as the front and rear bumpers, which are equipped with the optimum angle for unhindered climbing and crawling.

The details inside are no less impressive. Inside you'll find injection-molded seats, a dashboard, shift lever and steering wheel with steering column, and under the hood you'll find a replica of the 5.0-liter V8 engine, as well as the transmission and transfer case housings that house the powerful Axial® 35T engine. This not only contributes to the true-to-scale appearance, but also protects the engine.

The realistic appearance continues all the way to the floor! The 3-piece retro-style beadlock wheels perfectly match the scale body of the Early Ford Bronco and allow for easy tire installation or replacement without the need for glue. The licensed 1.9 replica Falken Wildpeak M/T tires provide solid grip for conquering rocks and trails. The roll cage features mounting points for additional lights and a full-size spare tire.

The proven SCX10™ III chassis delivers the superior crawler performance Axial® riders expect. For a lower center of gravity and an even more realistic look, the Early Ford Bronco AR45 uses rigid axles front and rear. The triangular suspension geometry is tuned to work with the axles to reduce torque and further enhance the scale look. Adjustable oil pressure shocks help the driver find the best damping rate and provide a larger bore with more fluid volume for the best performance.

The transmission is factory-equipped with a third channel for a "front-dig" function that allows the rear axle to be locked from the transmitter for even tighter cornering. Alternatively, you can also switch the transmission between high and low gears. To do this, simply connect the built-in Micro Dig servo to the gearbox linkage. To be able to use both the "Front Dig" and the two-speed gearbox function, you only need an additional servo and a transmitter with at least four channels (such as the Spektrum™ DX5).

The fully pre-assembled RTR vehicle features a Spektrum™ DX3™ radio with exclusive DSMR® technology for superior range, response and interference-free operation. The transmitter is compatible with the smart telemetry potential of the built-in Spektrum Firma™ Smart 40A ESC/receiver unit, and if you're using a Spektrum Smart LiPo pack, you'll always be able to see your battery charge level on the transmitter, while the Bronco's waterproof electronics protect you in all weather and track conditions.

With its unstoppable Axial® technology and iconic Ford styling, the SCX10™ III Early Ford Bronco 4WD RTR Crawler is predestined for adventures in the mountains and rough terrain. Simply insert the appropriate battery of your choice and you're ready to go!

EARLY FORD BRONCO POLYCARBONATE BODY
The officially licensed Bronco body features many true-to-scale details that will make the hearts of Ford fans beat faster. These include a separately mounted windshield and functional tubular frame doors. The body mounts are concealed to maintain the "ultra-scale" look. Optional body mounts are provided for use with other bodies.

INJECTION MOLDED ROLL CAGE
The realistic, injection-molded roll cage provides mounting points for a functional spare tire and additional lighting (AXIC1152, Axial® Universal Light Bar Set, sold separately).

WHEEL ARCHES AND UNDERBODY PANELS
The body's wheel arches and underbody panels conceal internal components that are normally visible from the side of the chassis. They also help protect the interior and contain mounting points for the rock lights (AXI13001, Axial® SCX10™ III Multi-Color LED Rock Lights With Controller, sold separately).

PROTECTION FROM STONE CHIPS AND SCRATCHES
Year-matched fender flares and rock guards protect the Bronco body from damage and scratches caused by rock chips.

EXTERIOR DETAILS
Numerous details contribute to the authentic appearance of the Early Ford Bronco body. The air scoop on the hood, license plates, headlights, tail lights and windscreen wipers are all included.

OPEN INTERIOR WITH TRUE-TO-SCALE DETAILS
The open interior is packed with even more scale details. Injection-molded seats, dashboard, steering wheel with steering column, gear stick and foot pedals are included as standard.

ENGINE DETAILS
The powerful Axial® 35T electric motor is concealed beneath the 5.0-liter V8 engine, transmission case and transfer case for a scaled look and good protection.

FRONT-GRAB TRANSMISSION & TWO-SPEED OPTION
The transmission is factory-equipped with a third channel for a "front dig" function that allows the rear axle to be locked from the transmitter. The lock acts like an anchor and enables even tighter radii and therefore significantly better maneuverability off-road. Alternatively, you can also switch the transmission between high and low gears. To do this, simply connect the built-in Micro Dig servo to the gearbox linkage. To use both the Front Dig and the two-speed gearbox function, all you need is another servo and a transmitter with at least four channels (such as the Spektrum™ DX5).

SPEKTRUM™ DX3™ 2.4GHz DSMR® SENDER
The included Spektrum DX3 transmitter features exclusive DSMR® technology for superior range, response and interference-free operation and is compatible with the Smart telemetry potential of the built-in Spektrum Firma™ Smart 40A ESC/receiver unit.

SPEKTRUM™ COMPANY™ SMART 40A ESC/RECEIVER UNIT
When using a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery, you can always keep an eye on the battery capacity on the transmitter's voltage display with the included Smart-enabled transmitter and built-in ESC/receiver unit!

SPEKTRUM™ 15KG METAL GEAR SERVO
The high-torque servo with metal gearbox and aluminum servo horn is waterproof for reliable driving in any weather and on any trail.

RIGID AXLES WITH OFFSET FRONT DIFFERENTIAL
For a true-to-scale look and a lower center of gravity, the Early Ford Bronco AR45 uses rigid axles front and rear. An optional overdrive transmission is available separately (AXI332001 6-Bolt 27 8 Overdrive Gear Set).

TRIANGULAR SUSPENSION GEOMETRY
The suspension geometry is matched to theAR45 rigid axles to reduce torque and further improve the scale look. A 3-link with Panhard bar is also fitted at the front.

Adjustable aluminum oil pressure shock absorbers with coil springs
The oil shocks have hard anodized housings with threads and an emulsion style cap with bleed screw for easy conversion and maintenance. The shocks are finely adjustable to find the best damping rate for your application, and the larger bore allows for greater fluid volume for better performance.

REDESIGNED BATTERY HOLDER
The battery tray on the SCX10™ III Early Ford Bronco can accommodate standard LiPo or full size NiMH batteries.

ADJUSTABLE WHEELBASE
The SCX10™ III chassis features an adjustable wheelbase that allows the driver to customize the length to fit a variety of aftermarket bodies (11.4" (290mm), 12.0" (305mm), 12.3" (312mm)).

3-PIECE RETRO BEADLOCK WHEELS
The Early Ford Bronco is supplied with 3-piece beadlock wheels. These rims are scale replicas of the "Slot Mag" rims from the era. Not only do they complete the scale body, they also allow for easy installation, removal and replacement of tires without the use of glue. Detailed "knock-off" style bolt-on hubcaps are also included.

LICENSED 1.9 TIRES
Licensed 1.9 replicas of Falken Wildpeak M/T tires provide solid grip to conquer rocks and trails. Axial® also includes a full-size spare tire with the Bronco.

Off-Road Bumpers
The off-road bumpers are designed with an optimal contact angle for climbing and crawling over rocks and rough terrain. The front bumper also has a mounting hole for a winch bracket and mounting points for lights from the accessories. The front and rear license plates further emphasize the scale look.

WATERPROOF ELECTRONICS
The SCX10™ III Early Ford Bronco is ready to go in any weather and on any trail thanks to the waterproof Spektrum™ electronics.
