When Losi introduced the 5IVE-T in 2011, it revolutionized the world of large-scale RC vehicles. The brand launched a 4x4 model designed with the legendary engineering of the 1/8-scale 8IGHT platform a truck that enthusiasts didn't even know they wanted. Easy to maintain, powerful and proven, the 5IVE-T immediately set new standards for large-scale performance. Now, over a decade later, Losi is raising that bar to a whole new level with the all-new 5IVE-TE 3.0.
At the heart of the 5IVE-TE 3.0 is the new 12S Spektrum Power System - the most powerful factory-installed system Spektrum has ever developed for an RC vehicle. The massive 560Kv 70120 brushless motor combines with a specially designed 250-amp Smart ESC to reach breathtaking speeds of over 80 km/h with 12S LiPo power. Two 40mm fans cool the motor, while an aluminum heatsink keeps the impressive 50.4 volts of raw power under control. For a more relaxed riding experience, you can also use 8S batteries and still enjoy an impressive 56+ km/h.
The 5IVE-TE 3.0 rolls on eye-catching, officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels that offer modern, true-to-scale proportions. Thanks to the innovative Pro-Line Racing Pro-Loc Bead-Lock technology, tire changes are a breeze and you save money in the long run because only the tires need to be replaced and not the entire wheel-tire combination. The wheels are equipped with massive 8.5-inch Pro-Line Mirage TT tires that feature an aggressive, realistic tread pattern and desert truck-style sidewall ribs for exceptional control and stability on a variety of terrain.
To withstand the stresses of 12S power and aggressive driving, Losi has developed a completely new body design. Unlike traditional polycarbonate bodies, the 5IVE-TE 3.0's is made from injection-molded polypropylene panels - the same ultra-durable material used in Losi's Promoto-MX and Sprint Car platforms. These six body panels are flexible to absorb shocks and have a uniform thickness to avoid weak spots. They are also easier and cheaper to replace.
A longer wheelbase ensures that the massive wheels, tires and body remain perfectly proportioned while improving stability at high speeds. The drivetrain has been reinforced to increase the durability of the drive shafts and improve efficiency. Optimized gear ratios, including a new 43/12 ring and pinion gearbox with a 67-tooth main gear, ensure impressive acceleration and performance, even with the larger size and tire diameter.
The chassis has also been comprehensively improved. New 32 mm big-bore shock absorbers offer a significantly higher oil volume, which improves damping performance under the load of the larger platform. Tapered pistons increase damping and provide a controlled, faster rebound that improves traction. Revised front and rear wishbones feature reinforced areas at the shock absorber mounts for increased durability. In addition, the shock absorber geometry has been optimized to improve the angles from the damper bridge to the wishbone.
A new, easily accessible center differential mount makes maintenance much easier. The new large-format Spektrum metal servo delivers an impressive 1,000 oz/in of torque and ensures that the massive truck goes precisely where you want it to go. The metal housing keeps the gears perfectly aligned and also acts as a heat sink to dissipate heat from the servo motor for increased performance and durability.
The included Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter meets the needs of both beginners and experienced large-scale enthusiasts. The throttle travel limiter allows beginners to reduce the top speed to 50% or 75% until they are ready to use the full potential of the 5IVE-TE 3.0. When using smart batteries, the transmitter displays the battery status in real time, so you always know when it's time to change the battery. The SR6200A DSMR receiver features AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology, which increases stability on difficult terrain, while Smart Technology compatibility provides real-time telemetry data.

The Losi 5IVE-TE 3.0 is based on the proven DNA of the renowned 1/5-scale gasoline-powered 5IVE-T, which is considered the benchmark in the large-scale RC community. Its design and technology draw from the company's successful 1/8-scale and short-course platforms. With the 5IVE-TE 3.0, Losi presents the first specially developed electric version of the 5IVE-T platform.


1/5-Scale Metal Top Hi Torque 15T Servo
Designed to withstand extreme loads while delivering maximum performance, the new SPMSS1000MT metal top servo ensures that the 5IVE-TE always moves in the right direction. With an impressive 1000 oz/in of torque, this high-torque servo is far more than your average large model servo. The metal housing not only ensures that the gears stay perfectly aligned, but also acts as a heat sink to dissipate heat away from the servo motor. This improves both performance and durability.

Spektrum Firma 560kv 70120 Brushless Motor
The Spektrum Firma 560kv 70120 motor is a powerful, large-format, sensorless brushless motor. With a diameter of 70 mm and a length of 120 mm, it is the largest motor Losi has ever integrated into a vehicle. This 12S-capable motor was specially developed for demanding high-performance applications such as the 5IVE-TE 3.0.


Dual Losi 50 mm cooling fan and heatsink
50.4 volts of power requires effective cooling! The motor is surrounded by an aluminum heatsink on which two powerful fans are mounted to keep the motor temperature in the optimum range.


Spektrum SR6200A DSMR 6-channel AVC surface receiver
The Spektrum SR6200A 6-channel DSMR receiver utilizes frequency-agile DSMR technology to provide outstanding range, responsiveness and unbeatable signal stability - all in a compact, easy-to-install design. AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology ensures greater stability on challenging terrain. Combined with innovative Smart technology, the SR6200A receiver also provides real-time telemetry data when used with a Smart ESC and Smart battery.


Spektrum DX3 Smart 3-channel transmitter
The throttle limit feature on the included Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz transmitter allows beginners to throttle back the truck's top speed to 50% or 75% until they're ready to unleash its full potential. With a smart battery, you can also conveniently keep an eye on the remaining capacity via the smart battery indicator on the transmitter.


Ultra-rugged, injection-molded body parts
The impressive size and power of the Losi 5IVE-TE 3.0 ensure that the bodywork takes a beating during intense driving and rollovers. The new injection-molded body panels are flexible and absorb shocks, making them particularly resistant. Thanks to the injection molding process, the material thickness of the body remains constant, avoiding weak points that could occur with a vacuum forming process.


Straight center drive
The 5IVE-TE 3.0 is equipped with a completely new, straight central drive train that has been optimized for maximum stability and efficiency. This proven design reduces complex angles in the driveline, significantly improving the durability of the drive shafts.


New massive 32 mm big bore shock absorbers
The 32 mm Big Bore shock absorbers have a larger diameter than the original 5IVE-T shock absorbers, which allows for a higher oil volume and improved damping. The new, larger Big Bore shock absorbers offer an impressive 78% increase in fluid volume compared to the original 5IVE-T shock absorbers. The tapered piston design provides better damping and at the same time a more controlled and faster rebound, which significantly improves overall traction.


Easy access to the center diff mount
A newly designed, easily accessible mount for the differential module facilitates removal and maintenance. With the new design, you can easily reach the differential module by loosening just 6 bolts and removing the top cover.


Officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels
KMC is an internationally renowned brand that is appreciated for its stylish and robust off-road wheels. Their innovative designs combine appealing looks with high functionality. The 5IVE-TE 3.0 is equipped with officially licensed KMC KM549 rims, which use the proven Pro-Line Pro-Loc technology.


New suspension arms
The new front and rear suspension arms have been reinforced at the lower shock absorber mountings to ensure uniform material thickness and therefore greater durability. Adjustments to the shock absorber geometry in combination with the new, larger 32 mm big bore shock absorbers ensure optimized damper angles from the damper bridge to the wishbones.


Optimized transmission for larger models
Optimizing the gear ratio of the 5IVE-TE 3.0 was a crucial part of the development process. The right gear ratio can significantly increase the acceleration and performance of the truck, especially when the vehicle and its tires are enlarged. The 5IVE-TE 3.0 is now equipped with a new 43/12 ring and pinion transmission and a 67T main gear to get this powerful truck moving at its best.


New Pro-Line Mirage TT tires
Highly detailed Pro-Line Mirage TT tires in a new, larger 8.5-inch size. The design utilizes the exclusive Pro-Line Pro-Loc Bead technology for secure tire mounting.
