Originally developed in the 1960s for counterinsurgency (COIN) operations, the North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco was designed as a versatile military aircraft used for both light attack and reconnaissance missions. During the final years of the Vietnam War and throughout Operation Desert Storm, the Bronco proved its worth in counterinsurgency operations, air support, and versatile transport missions. Many of these aircraft remain in service today. The E-flite® Micro OV-10 is a highly detailed replica of this unique aircraft, scaled down to make it more affordable and easier to fly! It is compatible with standard 3S 600–850mAh batteries and features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® technology as well as optional SAFE® Select technology, making it the most practical OV-10 model to date. The optional landing gear with a steerable nose wheel allows for easy taxiing, takeoff, and landing on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can remove the landing gear to achieve more speed and performance when flying over grass. The OV-10 Bronco is one of the most unique and iconic twin-engine turboprop military aircraft of all time. Larger OV-10 models, such as the popular Hangar 9 20cc and 30cc versions, may be out of reach for many pilots, but the E-flite® Micro OV-10 Bronco is designed to be affordable and accessible to most! It comes to you fully assembled and ready to fly right out of the box, including a factory-installed control unit with a Spektrum receiver equipped with the exclusive AS3X® and optional SAFE® Select technologies. It’s ready to be connected to your DSMX®/DSM2®-compatible 5-channel or higher transmitter. You’ll also receive real-time telemetry data—such as total battery voltage, current, and more—with both Smart and non-Smart batteries when using compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare software. The two brushless outrunner motors with counter-rotating propellers are compatible with 3S 600–850mAh batteries and offer an excellent combination of performance and flight time. The EPS airframe features more integrated scale details than most smaller UMX/Ultra-Micro models, including optional weapons, missiles, an auxiliary fuel tank, and a Pitot tube. It is also equipped with plastic-reinforced engine nacelles and sponson undersides, as well as composite reinforcements in the nose, on the wings, and in other areas, to make it stable and torsionally rigid while still remaining lightweight. The well-thought-out design allows for easy flying in a scale-like or sporty style, as well as performing aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and inverted flight. The fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel allows for taxiing, takeoff, and landing on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can fly without the landing gear installed to achieve greater speed and climb performance—the automatic Hand Launch Assist Mode ensures easy hand launches and landings on grassy areas.

Skill Level 3 - Advanced Pilots (Experience Required)
Level 3 aircraft, such as this one, are ideal for RC pilots who have already gained experience with “Next Step” models and beyond. You should also have the skills to assemble, set up, and fly models in this class. Although this is the easiest OV-10 Bronco model to fly to date, it is not suitable as a first RC aircraft for beginners. You should already have the experience and skills needed to successfully fly models such as the E-flite UMX Timbers, UMX Twin Otter, Micro DRACO, Micro Scrappy, or larger and twin-engine models before attempting the Micro OV-10 Bronco.

The models come ready to fly right out of the box—with a pre-installed power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver. All you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible remote control, complete any final assembly steps, and you’re ready to fly!


Exclusive Technologies
This is the first OV-10 Bronco model equipped with the exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works in the background to compensate for the effects of wind and turbulence. This creates a smooth flying experience that feels like you’re piloting a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select technology provides pitch and roll angle limits, as well as automatic self-stabilization that can be turned on and off with a switch. This makes the OV-10 particularly beginner-friendly. SAFE Select also features an automatic hand-launch assistant that detects the force of a hand launch and automatically applies elevator input. This causes the aircraft to climb at a steeper angle for a few seconds, making takeoff considerably easier.


Telemetry Functionality
The Micro OV-10 Bronco is equipped with a control unit that includes a receiver and ESCs. These provide a wide range of real-time telemetry data related to the power system, such as total battery voltage, current consumption, and more. This data can be transmitted to compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare technology (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 through NX20, iX12 through iX20, and others) during flight.

The factory-installed twin brushless powertrain is equipped with high-performance 3S-compatible outrunner motors that use counter-rotating propellers. This setup delivers impressive speeds, strong vertical performance, and long flight times when using the recommended 600–850mAh 30+C LiPo batteries with IC2® connectors.


Landing Gear Options
You can use the included fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel to taxi, take off, and land on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can fly without the landing gear mounted to achieve higher speeds and better vertical performance. The automatic Hand Launch Assist Mode helps you easily launch the model from your hand and land it gently on grass.


Robust Design
The EPS airframe features more molded-in scale details than smaller models in the UMX/Ultra-Micro class, complemented by plastic-reinforced engine nacelles and sponson undersides, as well as composite reinforcements in the nose, on the wings, and in other areas to make it stable, torsionally rigid, and yet lightweight. The result is an outstanding scale appearance that is easy to maintain and offers the best possible flying experience.
