Similar to the original, the E-flite® UMX™ Viper 30mm EDF offers the look and performance of a fighter jet, combined with the handling of a low-wing airplane, so more pilots can experience the fun of jet flying! This scale EDF model flies smoothly and handles like a sport aircraft while being capable of impressive top speeds and aerobatic maneuvers. But what really sets the UMX Viper apart is how easy it is to take off, fly and land. This makes it the first choice for a wide range of pilots. The lightweight, composite-reinforced fuselage is delivered fully assembled and almost ready to fly. It is also factory-painted in the iconic Aircraft Studio Design color scheme. The 4S-compatible propulsion system ensures modern EDF performance and makes it the most powerful jet model in its ultra-micro class! Equipped with precisely tuned AS3X and optional SAFE Select technologies, it also provides real-time telemetry data such as battery voltage to compatible radio controls. Thanks to its compact size, the UMX Viper can be flown in more places and smaller areas than most other EDF models, including large parks and sports fields. The fixed landing gear with steerable nose wheel allows easy taxiing, take-off and landing on smooth surfaces. Alternatively, the landing gear can be quickly removed to increase speed and performance. Simple hand launches with the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode and soft landings on grass are also possible. Skill Level 2 - Some experience required
Skill level 2 airplanes, like this model, are ideal for model pilots who already have some experience and are able to assemble, set up and fly similar models. Before attempting to fly the UMX Viper 30mm EDF, you should already have experience and the necessary skills to fly more powerful ultra-micro models as well as larger models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, the Valiant 1.3m or the various Timber 1.5m models. You should also be familiar with other EDF models such as the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) in 50mm or 70mm.

Bind-N-Fly equipment advantage
Do you already have a Spektrum™ remote control? With Bind-N-Fly (BNF) model aircraft, taking off has never been so easy and convenient. The models are ready to fly out of the box, with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed. All you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible remote control, complete any final assembly steps and you're ready to take off!

Exclusive technologies
This Viper is equipped with exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works in the background to compensate for the effects of wind and turbulence, creating a smooth flying experience that feels like a much larger airplane. The optional SAFE Select function offers pitch and roll angle limits and automatic self-stabilization that can be turned on and off with a switch. This makes this Viper the easiest model you can fly yet!

Telemetry capable
The UMX Viper is equipped with a control unit that integrates an ESC and a Spektrum receiver. This provides real-time telemetry data during flight, such as flight battery voltage, to compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare technology (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to NX20, iX12 to iX20 and more).

Higher performance
The factory-installed 30 mm EDF drive system is equipped with a 4S-compatible outrunner motor. This setup offers the highest performance ever achieved in a single motor UMX/Ultra-Micro-Jet!

Pre-assembled at the factory
The UMX Viper comes ready to fly and fully pre-assembled right out of the box! Simply attach the one-piece wing with the convenient, tool-free connectors, install a charged battery, bind it to your Spektrum radio (minimum 5 channels, DSMX/DSM2) - and you're ready to go!

Completely ready to go
The fully molded airframe is factory painted in Aircraft Studio Design's unique and now iconic design. Functional LED lighting enhances the scale details of this model.

Lightweight construction
The composite-reinforced EPS construction makes for a lightweight yet strong airframe that is also easy to repair with odorless, foam-safe CA glue, Foam 2 Foam, epoxy resin or other foam-friendly adhesives. Should any part of the airframe or components become damaged and cannot be repaired, a comprehensive range of replacement parts is available.

Landing gear options
You can use the included fixed landing gear with steerable nose wheel to taxi, take off and land on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can omit the landing gear to achieve higher speeds and better performance. The automatic Hand Launch Assist Mode also enables easy hand-launching.
