When Losi introduced the 5IVE-T in 2011, it revolutionized the large-scale RC sector by offering enthusiasts something they didn’t even know they wanted: a large-scale 4x4 truck developed with the same legendary engineering DNA as the dominant 1/8-scale 8IGHT platform. Easy to maintain, powerful, and proven, the 5IVE-T immediately set the benchmark for large-scale performance. Now, over a decade later, Losi is raising that bar to unprecedented heights with the all-new 5IVE-TG 3.0.
At the heart of the 5IVE-TG 3.0 is the impressive new Fujiwara FJ350RC engine. Based on the legendary Zenoah G320, this 35.2cc powerhouse offers greater displacement, impressive power, and torque across the entire rpm range. The engine truly shines in the low- and mid-RPM ranges, with noticeable improvements that deliver breathtaking acceleration and relentless pulling power. This is gasoline-powered performance at its best and a tribute to the legacy that made the 5IVE-T a legend in the large-scale community.
The 5IVE-TG 3.0 rides on eye-catching, officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels that feature modern, true-to-scale proportions. Thanks to innovative Pro-Line Racing Pro-Loc bead-lock technology, tire changes are a breeze and more cost-effective in the long run, since only the tires and not the entire wheel-and-tire assembly need to be replaced. Wrapped around these wheels are massive 8.5-inch Pro-Line Mirage TT tires, which offer exceptional control and grip on a wide variety of terrain thanks to their aggressive, realistic tread pattern and desert-truck-style sidewall ribs.
To withstand the stresses of gasoline power and aggressive driving, Losi has developed a completely new body design. Unlike conventional polycarbonate bodies, the 5IVE-TG 3.0’s body consists of injection-molded polypropylene panels the same ultra-durable material used in Losi’s Promoto-MX and Sprint Car platforms. These six body panels are flexible to absorb impacts, have uniform thickness to prevent weak spots, and are easier and more cost-effective to replace.
A longer wheelbase ensures that the massive wheels, tires, and body remain perfectly proportioned, while also significantly improving stability at high speeds. The drivetrain has been reinforced to increase the load-bearing capacity, efficiency, and durability of the drive shafts. Optimized gear ratios, including a new 43/12 bevel gear and pinion as well as a 67-tooth main gear, improve the truck’s acceleration and performance, especially when combined with the larger size and tire diameter.
The suspension has also been extensively redesigned. New 32-mm big-bore shock absorbers hold significantly more oil, which improves damping performance under the weight and forces of the larger platform. Tapered shock pistons ensure controlled, faster rebound and thus better traction. Redesigned front and rear control arms have been reinforced at the shock mounts to increase durability. In addition, the revised shock absorber geometry optimizes the angles from the shock mount to the control arm.
A completely new, easily accessible center differential makes maintenance much easier. The new design allows access to the center differential by removing the upper center plate, without having to remove the brakes or any other components. The new Spektrum Large-Scale Servo with a metal housing delivers an impressive 7.06 Nm of torque and ensures that this massive truck can be steered with precision. The metal housing keeps the gears perfectly aligned while also acting as a heat sink that dissipates heat from the servo motor, thereby improving performance and service life.
The included Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter meets the needs of both beginners and experienced large-scale drivers alike. The SR615 DSMR receiver offers reliable control and telemetry, especially when paired with Spektrum Smart batteries. When using Smart batteries for the receiver pack, the transmitter displays the battery level in real time, so you always know when a change is needed.

1/5-Scale Metal-Top High Torque 15T Servo
Designed to withstand extreme loads while delivering peak performance, the new SPMSS1000MT Metal-Top Servo ensures that the 5IVE-TG 3.0 always heads in the right direction. With an impressive torque of 7.06 Nm, this servo is far more than just an ordinary large-scale servo. The metal housing not only ensures that the gears remain perfectly aligned but also acts as a heat sink, dissipating heat from the servo motor. This improves both performance and durability.


Ultra-durable, injection-molded body parts
The impressive size and power of the Losi 5IVE-TG 3.0 mean the body takes a real beating during intense driving and rollovers. The new injection-molded body panels are flexible and absorb impacts, making them exceptionally durable. New Solid 32 mm Big-Bore Shocks
The 32 mm Big Bore shock absorbers have a larger diameter than the original 5IVE-T shock absorbers, allowing for a higher oil volume and improved damping. The new, larger Big Bore shock absorbers offer an impressive 78% increase in oil volume compared to the original 5IVE-T shock absorbers. The tapered piston design ensures better damping and a more controlled and faster rebound, which improves overall traction.


Easy Access to the Center Differential Mount
A redesigned, easily accessible mount for the center differential simplifies removal and maintenance. With the new design, the center differential can be easily accessed by loosening and removing the upper cover, without having to remove the brakes or linkage.
