Experience level 2 - Some experience required
Level 2 aircraft, such as this model, are ideal for RC pilots who already have some experience and are able to assemble, adjust and fly similar models. Before attempting to fly the Gee Bee R-2 1.0m BNF Basic Version, you should already have experience with models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, the Sportix 1.1m, the Commander mPd 1.4m or other models in this class.

The BNF Basic version of the Gee Bee R-2 1.0m is equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver that features exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. The enhanced AS3X+ works in the background to compensate for the effects of wind and turbulence. The result is a precise and smooth flight feel that gives the impression of piloting a much larger aircraft. SAFE Select, which can be used as an option, offers pitch and roll angle limits as well as automatic self-stabilization, which can be switched on and off at the flick of a switch. If you do not want to use the SAFE Select functions, you can simply bind the receiver normally so that only AS3X+ is active. In addition, the receiver is equipped with a Smart Transmitter File (STF), which makes it possible to import all settings for NX and iX transmitters during the binding process. So you'll be ready to go faster than ever before!
