E-flite Micro P-47 Thunderbolt 625 mm BNF Basic with AS3X+ and SAFE Select

The E-flite® Micro P-47 Thunderbolt, with a wingspan of 625 mm, is a highly detailed replica of the legendary World War II fighter plane. It is the first in its class to feature functional retractable landing gear and landing flaps, providing an authentic warbird experience at a more affordable price. Perfect for advanced to professional pilots!

E-flite Micro P-47 Thunderbolt 625 mm Introduction

The E-flite® Micro P-47 Thunderbolt, with a 625 mm wingspan, was developed to reach and inspire even more RC pilots. It is also the first micro warbird model to feature functional flaps, retractable landing gear, and LED navigation lights! The brushless motor is compatible with standard 3S 600–850 mAh batteries, and the Spektrum™ receiver is equipped with enhanced AS3X+®technology and the optional SAFE® Select technology, making it one of the easiest P-47 models to fly. The retractable landing gear with steerable tail wheel allows for easy taxiing, takeoff, and landing on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can leave the landing gear retracted to launch the P-47 by hand and land it gently on its belly on grassy areas. The model ships factory-painted in a scale-accurate design and is ready to fly after the one-piece wing is mounted with just a single knurled screw.

E-flite Micro P-47 Thunderbolt 625 mm Overview

Built like a flying tank, the P-47 Thunderbolt was equipped with eight .50-caliber machine guns and could carry enough bombs and rockets to completely wipe ground targets off the map. The E-flite® Micro P-47 Thunderbolt, with a 625 mm wingspan, is slightly larger than the UMX™ (Ultra Micro eXtreme) and other Ultra-Micro-class models to better replicate the original’s design and incorporate as many scale details as possible into the EPO fuselage. It’s still small and light enough to be flown in large gardens, small parks, sports fields, and beyond while offering impressive scale details such as panel lines, machine guns, and more. Best of all: It’s the first “Full House” model in the Micro class to feature functional retractable landing gear, flaps, and LED navigation lights! The powerful brushless outrunner motor drives the 4-blade propeller with a 3S 600–850mAh battery, enabling everything from smooth, scale-like flight to better-than-scale performance and aggressive aerobatic action. The factory installed Spektrum™ receiver and Avian™ Smart Lite ESC deliver real-time telemetry data such as total battery voltage, current, motor RPM, and more to compatible AirWare-enabled transmitters, whether using Smart or non-Smart batteries. The receiver is also equipped with precisely tuned AS3X+® technology, which provides a stable, precise flying experience similar to that of a larger model even in light winds. In addition, the optional SAFE® Select technology makes the model even easier to fly. The Micro P-47 ships from the factory with a high-quality, fully painted and decaled design and is largely pre-assembled. The separate, one-piece wing can be quickly and easily attached or removed with a single knurled screw. All of this adds up to an authentic yet affordable and practical warbird flying experience that no other P-47 model can offer!

Skill Level 3 – Advanced Pilots
Level 3 aircraft, such as this one, are ideal for RC pilots who have already gained experience with “Next Step” models and beyond. You should have the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar models. Although this is one of the easiest P-47 models to fly, it is not suitable as a first RC airplane for beginners. You should already have the necessary experience to successfully fly UMX and other warbird models, such as the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m, the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, or models 1.2m and larger before attempting the Micro P-47 Thunderbolt.

Bind-N-Fly Basic Equipment Advantage
Do you already own a Spektrum™ remote control? With Bind-N-Fly (BNF) model airplanes, it’s never been easier to get airborne while enjoying the best possible control. The models come equipped with a power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver. All you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete any final assembly steps and you’re ready to fly! (Transmitter, battery, and charger sold separately.)

Exclusive Technologies
This P-47 replica is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. The improved AS3X+ works in the background to compensate for the effects of wind and turbulence and provide a smooth flying experience almost as if you were flying a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select feature provides pitch and roll angle limits as well as automatic self-stabilization, which can be turned on and off with a switch. This makes flying the P-47 considerably easier.

Smart Transmitter File
This BNF aircraft is equipped with a receiver that contains a Smart Transmitter File (STF). This makes programming your Spektrum NX or iX transmitter as easy as a few clicks. Once you bind your transmitter to an STF-compatible aircraft, all programming parameters are automatically downloaded from the receiver if you choose. Switch assignments, rates, Expo, telemetry, and voice prompts configure themselves automatically. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No constant adjustments. Just press a button, and you’ll be in the air in no time.

Telemetry Capability
The Micro P-47 Thunderbolt is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC that provides a wide range of real-time telemetry data on the power system. This includes, among other things, total battery voltage, current consumption, and more—whether using Smart or non-Smart batteries. This data is transmitted during flight to compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare technology (such as the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 through NX20, iX12 through iX20, and others).

Powerful Performance
The factory-installed brushless powertrain features a high-performance, 3S-compatible brushless motor with a 4-blade propeller. This setup delivers impressive speed, strong climb performance, and long flight times when using the recommended 600mAh non-smart or 850mAh smart LiPo batteries (30+C) with an IC2® connector.

Functional Features
This is the first model in the Micro class to be equipped with a working retractable landing gear, flaps for shorter takeoffs and landings, and improved low-speed flight performance. It also features LED navigation lights. The retractable landing gear with a steerable tail wheel allows for easy taxiing, takeoff, and landing on flat surfaces. Alternatively, you can leave the landing gear retracted to launch the model by hand and land it gently on its belly on grassy areas.

Robust Design
The airframe impresses with numerous scale details and reinforced composite elements, making it both sturdy and lightweight. The result is an impressively realistic appearance that’s easy to maintain and offers a first-class flying experience.

Easy Assembly
The Micro P-47 is delivered largely pre-assembled including the installed power system, servos, and receiver. All you need to do is attach the one-piece wing with a single knurled screw. This can be removed just as quickly and easily, making transport and storage even more convenient. The model also comes factory-finished with a high-quality, fully painted surface and decals, making it a detailed replica that you can proudly display anywhere.
