Overview

After the end of World War II, the hard-working Willys-Overland military jeep once again became a popular utility vehicle - with the designation "CJ" for "civilian jeep". Introduced in 1976, the CJ-7 model became one of the most popular rock crawlers and was produced until it was replaced by the Jeep Wrangler in 1987. The CJ-7 remains one of the greatest rock crawler icons of all time.

More than any other vehicle, the Jeep CJ-7 symbolizes off-road adventure. Now it is finally available for your RC expeditions in an officially licensed scale version based on the successful Axial SCX10 III chassis.

For any dedicated RC crawler, the SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 is an essential addition to their Axial collection. For Jeep enthusiasts with or without RC experience, it offers an exciting new way to realize off-road dreams. The CJ-7 offers both the looks and performance that the original is famous for.
The SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 is built and equipped to tackle any trail, but it's the incredible scale details that will make it the headliner at the next crawler meet.

In addition to the officially licensed Jeep CJ-7 body, this vehicle features officially licensed Gen-Right bumpers and armor, a full interior with flip-up center console, roll cage and more. The rims and tires also add to the authenticity. The rims are officially licensed Raceline Daytona beadlocks and the high-traction tires are officially licensed Mickey Thompson Baja Boss treads.

As part of the Axial SCX10 III family, the CJ-7 is naturally as capable as it is detailed. It feels right at home on the trail, conquering scale rock obstacles with ease. The precise handling and proven durability of the SCX10 III platform is complemented by a transmitter-activated Dig function for improved turning and even more controlled crawling. The Dig servo is included and pre-installed.

The SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 comes complete and ready to drive with a factory-installed brushed power system and Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter. Simply install a 2?3S LiPo battery and use your existing charger. When using a Spektrum Smart battery, you can also take advantage of the remote control system's Smart technology, including the ability to track battery status in real time directly from the DX3 transmitter.





Officially licensed Jeep CJ-7 body
The officially licensed and factory-finished body of the CJ-7 is made of tough polycarbonate and features numerous details such as officially licensed Gen-Right bumpers and body armor, a fully injection-molded roll cage and a complete interior including a hinged center console. The doors can be opened or even removed.

SCX10 III C-PROFILE STEEL CHASSIS
The CJ-7 is based on the proven, realistic Axial SCX10 III platform. The rigidity of the SCX10 III's C-section chassis reduces the deflection of the ladder frame and increases the precision of the suspension movement.

AR45 STANDARD AXLES
Another example of the fidelity of this rig are the AR45 standard axles, which are the same as the axles on the original CJ-7. The AR45 rigid axles with offset front differential provide a prototypical look and a low center of gravity. An optional overdrive transmission is available separately (6-Bolt 27 8 Overdrive Gear Set, AXI332001).

ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM STRUTS
The oil-filled shock absorbers have aluminum threaded bodies and a single coil spring. The shocks are adjustable to achieve the best damping rate.

DIG FUNCTION
The transmission's Dig function allows you to instantly switch to front-wheel drive by locking the rear axle via the transmitter to improve steering and controlled turn-in. The Dig servo is included and installed.

OPTIMIZED SUSPENSION
The multi-link rigid axle suspension features 6 mm stainless steel links and metal ball joints for solid off-road performance.

ALL-METAL TRANSMISSION
The CJ-7 transmission is equipped with ball bearings and metal gears to give you the performance you need on the trails.

INSTALLED DRIVE SYSTEM
The factory-installed brush drive system consists of a Dynamite 35T 540 motor and a Spektrum Firma 40A Smart 2-in-1 controller and receiver unit.

OFFICIALLY LICENSED WHEELS AND TIRES
Officially licensed Mickey Thompson Baja Boss R35 compound tires are mounted on officially licensed Raceline Daytona beadlock wheels for sure grip wherever the road takes you.

ADDITIONAL SCALE DETAILS INCLUDED
The Axial designers had a lot of fun with this project. The many scale details include a functional center console, removable coffee cup and beverage can, dual shifters and shifter for the automatic transmission, bucket seats with slots for optional seat belts, retractable side mirrors and much more!

SPEKTRUM DX3 SMART TRANSMITTER
The Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter, together with the 40A Smart 2-in-1 ESC/receiver, gives you many of the benefits of Smart technology, such as a battery level indicator for your integrated Smart LiPo battery. The third channel of the remote control controls the CJ-7 Dig function.
