With Auto-Charge, Spektrum Smart chargers recognize the charging parameters of connected Spektrum Smart batteries and automatically begin safe, accurate charging. In addition, when connected to a Smart charger, the unique parameters and status of the Smart LiPo battery are transferred from the integrated Smart memory microchip to the charger. You can use the charger to display and define settings such as the charging rate. As soon as you have connected your battery, the Smart technology takes care of the correct charging process.

A smart battery automatically transfers its charging parameters to the Spektrum Smart Charger, which greatly simplifies the charging process. The charge rate of each Smart battery is customizable, allowing you to take full advantage of batteries with a higher charge rate.


Smart battery technology
When you connect your Smart LiPo battery to a Spektrum Smart charger, the unique parameters and condition of your Smart LiPo battery are transmitted from the Smart microchip embedded in the battery. The charger allows you to set and save preferred settings such as charge rate and self-discharge options, so all you have to do is press the "e;Start" e;button to charge the battery. Smart technology takes care of the rest. This Smart LiPo battery is factory-equipped with a next-generation IC5™ connector that uses a data transfer cable to transfer stored information to your Smart charger.


Data rich
An integrated microchip allows each Smart battery to store important information such as battery type, chemistry, cell count, capacity, number of charge cycles, number of discharges, C-rate, battery temperature and internal resistance. In addition, each battery stores a log of unhealthy events such as overcharging, over-discharging and over-temperature. This allows you to make the most informed decision about each battery as you prepare your equipment for the next ride.


Intelligent automatic storage voltage
Spektrum™ Smart Pro Series batteries practically take care of themselves. Pro Series batteries are factory programmed to automatically discharge to a safe storage voltage of 3.90V after 72 hours of inactivity. The result is longer battery life, better performance over the life of the battery and the peace of mind that your Smart battery is maintenance free. The user can change the Auto Storage settings of the battery based on their preferences.


Simple and fast
Preset charge, discharge and storage parameters are automatically passed from your Spektrum™ Smart Pro-Series battery to your Smart charger, making charging as easy as plugging in the battery. The charge rate of individual batteries can also be adjusted by the user, allowing you to take full advantage of packs with higher charge rates. The battery's integrated microchip remembers the last set charge rate so that these settings are automatically applied the next time the battery is plugged in.
