The Super Decathlon is considered by pilots and flight instructors to be one of the best aerobatic training airplanes in man-carrying aviation. Its iconic design is based on the Aeronca Champ and Citabria, but has been upgraded with an inverted fuel and oil system and a nearly symmetrical wing to make negative figures and inverted maneuvers effortless. The original E-flite® Decathlon RJG 1.2m quickly gained a reputation as one of the best performing, best equipped and simplest models of the American classic. Now it's available again - with one of the Super Decathlon's most recognizable and iconic designs, offering all the great features and performance of the original - and even more!
With the same "e;friendly "e; airfoil and wing design, it is ideal for gentle sport flying for beginners and intermediate pilots, but also offers the opportunity for more aggressive aerobatic maneuvers for experienced pilots - without the "e;difficult features "e; that many other Super Decathlon models have. It features LED landing and navigation lights and numerous scale details that provide an authentic flying experience.
The Super Decathlon has also been equipped with upgraded digital servos with metal gearing and features a 3S and 4S compatible power system with a 45A Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC. The BNF Basic version has also been equipped with an upgraded AR631+ receiver that provides real-time telemetry data and supports advanced technologies such as AS3X+, SAFE Select and Smart Transmitter File (STF).

The Super Decathlon comes from the factory in the popular and unmistakable red, white and black "e;Starburst" design and features numerous scale details such as functional LED landing and navigation lights, wheel fairings and wing struts. The one-piece wing is easy to assemble and disassemble thanks to tool-free connections and knurled screws. The struts can be clipped in and out without additional fastenings or tools. Despite its practical size, which allows easy storage and transportation without disassembly, it offers impressive flight performance.
Improved digital servos with metal gears and ball-joint linkage provide even more precise and reliable control - ideal for everything from gentle sport flying to aggressive aerobatic maneuvers. Both versions of the model feature a powerful power system compatible with 3S and 4S LiPo batteries (2200-3200 mAh) and a 45-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC.
The BNF Basic version is also equipped with an upgraded AR631+ receiver that provides real-time telemetry data, AS3X+ stabilization, optional SAFE Select technology, motor reversing and convenient remote control programming.

Skill level 3 - experience required
Skill level 3 aircraft, such as this model, are suitable for more experienced RC pilots who already have the skills to assemble, set up and fly similar models. This PNP (Plug-N-Play) version requires more experience and skill than the BNF Basic (Bind-N-Fly) version, as you will need to install a receiver that is not already equipped with the tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. This model is not suitable for absolute beginners or as a "next step after a trainer" for pilots with little flying experience. You should already have experience and the skills necessary to successfully assemble and fly models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m or other models in this class before attempting the Super Decathlon 1.2m PNP version.


Plug-N-Play® Completion Level
The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes with a factory-installed power system and servos. All you need to do is connect a compatible receiver (sold separately) and your own transmitter and battery (also sold separately). Install the receiver, complete the final assembly and you're ready to go!


Versatile performance
The factory-installed brushless motor consists of a 45-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC and a specially tuned motor. Combined with a 3S 2200mAh LiPo battery, it provides plenty of thrust. For even more speed and unlimited vertical performance, you can easily use a 4S 3200mAh battery - without any additional modifications or upgrades.

Functional LED landing and navigation lights, wing struts and wheel fairings are scale details that take your experience to the next level.
