The Hangar 9® P-51D Mustang 20cc ARF is a masterfully crafted model that combines modern technology, outstanding flight characteristics and flexible power options - whether gasoline, glow engine or electric motor ® to deliver an impressive warbird replica with breathtaking looks. The model is based on the 375th Fighter Squadron's World War II Mustangs and is constructed in 1/6th scale from lightweight balsa and plywood for long-lasting durability.
A highlight of the many impressive details is the carefully applied silky matt covering of the slim airframe. The lightweight material features true-to-scale details such as panel lines, rivets, lettering and striking colors that not only look great, but are also durable. For even more authenticity, the elaborately designed cockpit features a 3D instrument panel, a detailed painted pilot figure and a maintenance hatch. The revised engine cowling with an even more detailed shape is equipped with matching air intakes, exhaust pipes and a matching spinner. Optionally, the wing tanks can be mounted on the supplied pylons or removed for better maneuverability at high speeds. The shock-absorbing landing gear legs feature true-to-scale axles and accommodate large wheels for easy take-off and landing on grass.
From any angle ® this Mustang is an impressive model for its size. The two-piece wings connect seamlessly with the true-to-scale fuselage wing transition and distinctive air intake. Scale detail
In addition to the factory-applied silk-matt printed covering, the model features numerous iconic details such as aerodynamically shaped tail surfaces, realistic exhaust pipes, wing armament, landing gear doors, optionally usable additional tanks, a radio antenna, a 3D instrument panel and a painted pilot figure.

Functional flaps
The low wing loading and semi-symmetrical profile ensure comfortable flight behavior over a wide speed range. Thanks to the functional flaps, the versatile flight behavior is further improved, enabling more realistic take-offs over shorter distances and slower landings.

Lightweight construction
The P-51D Mustang 20cc is made from laser-cut, lightweight balsa and plywood to create a robust and scale model that meets the highest quality standards.

Individual decals
Choose one of the two included nose art decals to complete your model. "e;Sky Bouncer "e; was flown by Captain Bruce ("e;Red "e;) Rowlett, while "e;Geraldine "e; was piloted by Captain Charles Roscoe ("e;Chuck "e;) Cummins. Both belonged to the 361st Fighter Group, 375th Fighter Squadron, which was stationed in England during the Second World War.

Practical features
The wings are equipped with a sturdy aluminum tube connection for easy transport and storage. When upright, a large upper maintenance cover provides easy access to the inside of the model, so that maintenance work and battery changes can be carried out quickly and easily.

Choose your engine!
The P-51D Mustang 20cc is designed to be powered by standard 20cc gas or glow engines, a Saito FG-21 gasoline engine or an E-flite Power 60 brushless electric motor system with a 6S LiPo battery. The required mounting material for the recommended drive systems is included in the scope of delivery, so you can start assembling straight away and get airborne faster. This 20cc ARF model is also the ideal airframe for the standard motor, speed controller and recommended flight battery used in the impressive E-flite® Carbon-Z® T-28.

Optional retractable landing gear
The sturdy, fixed landing gear with functional shock absorbers is included so you can easily hold your project and still benefit from smooth handling on the ground. The optional E-flite® electric retractable landing gear (sold separately) is compatible with the struts, offers a sturdy metal construction and installs easily to take scale realism in flight to the next level.
