The Bell 206 Jet Ranger is one of the most famous and iconic helicopter models of all time. Developed and first flown as early as the 1960s, the design has proven its versatility and adaptability, resulting in the production of over 7,000 units in various versions—ranging from corporate transport and news coverage to rescue missions and military operations. In recent years, more people have learned to fly CP (Collective Pitch) RC helicopters using the various versions of the Blade 230 S than with any other model. The Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP is an updated and improved version of the proven 230 and a scale variant of the popular Revolution 235. It comes factory-equipped with a Jet Ranger fuselage and offers features that make flying easier than ever before. Thanks to the exclusive and innovative SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, it features angle limits and improved self-stabilization in Normal mode to prevent crashes. In all other flight modes, there are no limits, but with the Panic Recovery function, you can stabilize the model at the push of a button should you ever lose control.
Best of all: The Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP is delivered pre-assembled, flight-tested, and ready to fly—no assembly or setup required. The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version includes everything you need to fly, except for a battery and charger. This makes it the perfect choice for beginners through experienced pilots who value maximum convenience and great value for the money. You can either use a convenient and cost-effective Spektrum Powerstage bundle or a separate battery and charger of your choice. The included Spektrum DXS 2.4-GHz transmitter can also be used with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) and BNF Basic models once you’ve mastered flying the Jet Ranger 235 CP! For pilots who already own a Spektrum transmitter as well as Smart or non-Smart batteries and chargers, a Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic version is also available. Both versions include a Spektrum flybarless flight controller and receiver equipped with a Smart Transmitter File. This allows you to automatically import all settings for NX and iX transmitters during the binding process, so you can fly faster and more easily with your preferred or upgraded transmitter.
The RTF Basic version also includes a full version of the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC flight simulator, which runs on a wide range of PCs—from budget laptops to gaming desktops—running Windows® 10 or 11. This simulator features many of Horizon Hobby’s most popular trainer airplanes and helicopters, including the Jet Ranger 235 CP, as well as built-in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons. Additional features include nearly two dozen “Next Step After a Trainer” (Skill Level 2) airplanes/helicopters and variants, as well as 4 unlockable airfields that become available as a reward after just 2–4 hours of training with the trainer models. Smart Transmitter File
This helicopter is equipped with a receiver that contains a Smart Transmitter File (STF). This makes programming your preferred or upgraded Spektrum computer transmitter as easy as a few clicks. As soon as you bind your transmitter to an STF-compatible helicopter, all programming parameters are automatically downloaded from the receiver. Switch assignments, rates, Expo, telemetry, and voice prompts configure themselves automatically. No lengthy step-by-step instructions. No constant adjustments. Just the push of a button—and you’re in the air faster!


Telemetry-Capable
The Bell 206 Jet Ranger 235 CP is equipped with a Spektrum Smart ESC, a flight controller, and a receiver that transmit real-time information—such as the total voltage of the flight battery, motor RPM, and other telemetry data—to compatible Spektrum AirWare-compatible transmitters—whether using Smart or non-Smart batteries. This includes transmitters such as the DXS, DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 through NX20, iX12 through iX20, and many others. Additionally, the DXS transmitter, included in the RTF Basic version, displays the approximate remaining battery level via multiple LEDs and emits audible warnings.


Learn to Fly with SAFE® Technology
If this is your first RC helicopter, Horizon Hobby’s exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology helps prevent oversteering and crashes. At the same time, it offers various flight modes that give you more control and options as your skills improve.


Normal (SAFE) Mode
In this flight mode, the helicopter is equipped with pitch and roll angle limits to prevent oversteering, which could lead to loss of orientation and crashes. As soon as you release the control sticks, the helicopter automatically returns to a stable, level flight attitude. This allows you to sit back and relax while simply “steering” the helicopter through the sky without having to constantly focus on keeping it stable. This flight mode also makes takeoff and landing much easier!


Stunt/Idle Up 1 (AS3X) Mode
In this flight mode, there are no limits on pitch or roll angles, giving you full control! The rotor speed is higher and more constant than in Normal Mode, allowing you to fly upside down (inverted) and perform basic aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and more.


Stunt/Idle Up 2 (AS3X) Mode
In this flight mode, there are no limits, and the rotor speed is even higher, allowing you to perform even more spectacular aerobatic maneuvers.


Panic Recovery Button
If you lose control of the helicopter while in Stunt or Idle-Up flight mode, simply press and hold the Panic Recovery button or switch to Normal mode and release the right control stick. SAFE technology automatically returns the helicopter to an upright and stable flight attitude!


Collective Pitch
The CP (Collective Pitch) main rotor mechanism enables precise control and offers a unique combination of hovering, scale flight, and aerobatics that cannot be achieved with FP (Fixed Pitch) mechanics.


Scale Authenticity
The powerful and efficient brushless main motor features a gear reduction system that is perfectly integrated into the fuselage and rotates the main rotor blades in the scale-accurate (counterclockwise) direction. The brushless tail motor is mounted on the left side and rotates the tail rotor in the scale-accurate (clockwise) direction. Both motors are connected to a factory-installed Spektrum Dual Smart ESC and are compatible with standard and affordable 3S 850mAh Smart LiPo batteries, as well as similar non-Smart LiPo batteries with an IC2® connector (or a compatible IC2 adapter).
