Hobbywing Platinum Pro 80A Controller V5 3-8s, 8A BEC

The Platinum V5 80A V5 is an extremely powerful ESC with 5-12V switch BEC for the 325420 flight range. Compared to its predecessor model, the speed-control is very impressive with its faster throttle response, higher flight efficiency and lower temperature rise, which sets it apart from comparable speed-controls. This is thanks to the built-in 32-bit processor in combination with a specially developed algorithm for speed accuracy. In addition to this algorithm, the Platinum V5 with 80A is equipped with protocols that allow various transmitter systems to read the controller data. These include, for example, the Mikado VBar system and Futaba S.BUS2.

The modern advantages of the Platinum V5 are also evident in the design, such as the many protective functions to make the next flight as safe as possible. These include protection against overheating of the actual controller as well as for the attached capacitors. However, to prevent too much heat being generated in the first place and this protection having to be activated, the controller has a double-sided heat sink with side ventilation. This allows air to flow quickly through the inside of the regulator and cool it efficiently. If this is no longer sufficient, the various protective functions take effect and prevent greater damage.
