Since entering service in the late 1970s, the BAE Systems Hawk and its US Navy variant, the T-45 Goshawk, have trained generations of military pilots worldwide. The Hangar 9 Hawk 140-160N ARF is faithfully modeled on this prototype and offers a robust, largely prefabricated construction equipped with extensive accessories, which has been specially adapted to the requirements of modern sport and scale jet pilots.
Designed as a lightweight carbon fiber reinforced balsa/plywood construction, the ARF airframe is prepared for operation with turbines of 140-160N thrust. A complete hardware set, double-walled stainless steel pushrod and 5.5L GRP main fuel tank mean you'll spend less time shopping for accessories and more time making precise maneuvers, low passes and skillful landings.

Hangar 9 Hawk/T-45 140-160N Turbine RC Jet ARF Overview

The Hawk 140-160N from Hangar 9 sets a new standard for prototype-like ARF turbine jets. Modeled after the proven BAE Systems Hawk and the T-45 Goshawk variant used by the U.S. Navy, this model combines prototypical lines with modern manufacturing materials and offers precise yet agile flight characteristics. The airframe consists of a carbon fiber-reinforced balsa/plywood construction with a two-part fuselage. In addition to all linkage parts, a 5.5 liter GRP main tank and tank and vent connections are also included. A stainless steel thrust tube with additional mounting material rounds off the comprehensive scope of delivery.
The fuselage has a large turbine cover and a removable canopy, which provide quick and easy access to the turbine, the tank system and the on-board electronics. Scale fans will appreciate the factory-applied VT-7 "e;Betsy Ross" e;color scheme with printed panel lines, maintenance covers and rivets, and weathering. The cockpit area is already finished under the clear canopy with a detailed cockpit with pilot figures, ejector seats and 3D instrument panels.
The electric retractable landing gear (HAN13785) is equipped with precise aluminum trailing landing gear legs and electric brakes that allow takeoffs and landings on both hard and grass runways. The landing gear includes a controller with adjustable braking force and a test button to extend and retract the landing gear without a transmitter. Full, multi-part undercarriage doors with corresponding assembly and linkage material are also included.
For easy storage and safe transportation, the two-piece wing, tailplane, vertical stabilizer and fins can be easily removed and safely stowed in optional carrying bags (HAN1375018 and HAN1375019). The two-part fuselage can also be separated for transportation. The aircraft is prepared for lighting and offers the option of installing your preferred components, such as two lighting bundles specially developed for the Hawk by uniLIGHT.

SKILL LEVEL 4 - ADVANCED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Skill level 4 aircraft, such as this one, are intended for experienced model pilots who already have the skills to build, program and fly similar models. It is not a suitable entry-level model for beginners or pilots with little flying experience.

INTENDED FOR TURBINES FROM 140 - 160N
With a weight of 18-20 kg, the Hawk is perfectly matched to modern turbines from brands such as JetCat and Kingtech in the 140-160N power range. Our preferred turbine is the P150 or K-160 as both offer an ideal combination of power, performance and flight time.

AUTHENTIC "BETSY ROSS" COLOR SCHEME
The Hawk features a printed PVC wrap that faithfully represents the "e;Betsy Ross" e;-VT-7 color scheme. Durable and long-lasting, accurate details such as panel lines, rivets and authentic weathering are already printed on.

SOLID FUEL SYSTEM
A 5.5l GRP main tank with magnetic aluminum refueling and venting connections as well as a double-walled stainless steel push tube are included and can be easily attached with the supplied mounting material.

ELECTRIC CHASSIS AND BRAKES
The HAN13785 undercarriage set includes aluminum trailing undercarriage legs, electric brakes and an undercarriage controller with brake force adjustment and test button to retract and extend the undercarriage even without a transmitter.

GOOD ACCESS TO THE TECHNOLOGY VIA THE FUSELAGE COVER
The large turbine cover and the removable canopy can be opened with quick-release latches and provide easy access to the turbine, on-board electronics and fuel tank system. The generous openings allow easy refueling, easily accessible technology and simple maintenance work - even when the flight line is hectic.

QUICK AND EASY ASSEMBLY ON THE AIRFIELD
Thanks to carbon and aluminum connectors and quick-release fasteners, the wings and tail surfaces can be removed quickly. The fuselage can be separated for simplified storage. Optional padded transport bags (HAN1375018, HAN1375019) are also available for safe transportation.

CHASSIS DOORS
A complete set of undercarriage doors and undercarriage leg covers is included for a prototypical look. All linkages and mounting materials are included - all landing gear doors can be controlled with three standard-size servos.

PREPARED FOR LIGHTING
The model is prepared for the installation of lighting - simply fit the LED kit of your choice. We have worked with uniLIGHT to offer matching kits to make the choice easier! For example, customers can install a nose light, navigation and ACL lighting for the wings and beacon and ACL lighting for the fuselage.
