Thanks to the E-flite® Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE®) 70mm EDF jet, it is now possible for the first time to learn to fly a model airplane successfully with a jet! The Habu STS 70mm EDF is based on the legendary Habu, one of the best high performance sport jet platforms for impellers ever developed. E-flite® engineers optimized the design to significantly improve flight characteristics and low-speed performance and added optional features such as the exclusive Spektrum SAFE® flight assist system and innovative smart components. The result is the Habu STS 70mm EDF, the easiest remote-controlled jet ever to fly. Finally, every pilot can fulfill the dream of flying a jet!

Overview
The E-flite® Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE®) 70mm EDF is designed for improved handling and performance at low airspeeds to make flying and landing easier! Based on one of the best impeller (EDF) sport jets ever developed, it is equipped with SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology with beginner, advanced and expert flight modes to make it easy for you to fly successfully, especially when you have the added support of a trainer. The use of exclusive Spektrum Smart components, including a lithium-polymer (LiPo) battery and charger, make charging more convenient and, most importantly, safer (battery and charger sold separately for the PNP version). The wide tripod landing gear with steerable nose wheel and oversized tires allows takeoffs and landings on a variety of surfaces from paved runways to grass and even paved dirt roads. In addition, you can install the optional Landing Assist Sensor (LAS), which makes landing even easier by automatically hovering out and helps you to learn. But the best thing is how quickly the robust EPO airframe can be assembled without glue or special tools. You'll be ready to fly faster than it takes to charge the battery.

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version comes in a box with everything you need to get flying right away and is the perfect choice for any beginner. From the Spektrum DXS 2.4GHz transmitter, which you can use with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) and BNF Basic aircraft once you've mastered the Habu STS, to the 3S 4000mAh Smart LiPo battery and a convenient S120 USB-C Smart charger that can be used with a variety of USB power sources, everything is included and you don't have to buy anything extra. With the Plug-N-Play® (PNP) version, experienced model pilots can use their own transmitter, receiver, battery and charger. For both versions, the powerful brushless drive train including telemetry-capable controller and servos is already pre-installed at the factory.

But the fun doesn't stop once you've learned to fly. In advanced mode, the Habu STS 70mm EDF becomes aerobatic capable and is able to perform maneuvers such as loops, rolls, inverted flight and more. You can use a 3S LiPo (included with the RTF version, sold separately for the PNP version) for the perfect balance between performance and flight time, or use an optional 4S LiPo for that extra dose of speed and thrust without the need for any drivetrain modifications or upgrades (4S LiPo and compatible charger sold separately for both versions).
