A story full of nostalgia
The Concorde G-BBDG, known as “Delta Golf,” was a unique test aircraft that played a pivotal role in proving the feasibility and safety of passenger flights at Mach 2. Although it was never used in regular passenger service, its contribution to the advancement of aviation was invaluable. It made its maiden flight on February 13, 1974, and played a crucial role in the Concorde’s certification process.

After being decommissioned, it sat forgotten for years at Filton Airport and gradually fell into disrepair. Thanks to the dedication of aviation enthusiasts, it was saved and restored; it eventually found its permanent home at the Brooklands Museum, where it can still be admired today.
