The BAE Hawk T1 is a British training aircraft that is also used as a light fighter. It has served in the RAF from 1976 to the present day. A total of around 1,000 examples were produced, which found their customers in the air forces of 18 countries. An interesting fact is that the US Navy uses a special version of this aircraft (T-45) for training purposes, e.g. to be operated from the decks of aircraft carriers.
