History of the Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo
The Maserati GranCabrio is one of the most famous Italian open-top grand tourers and is considered an icon of modern premium automotive design. The first generation debuted in 2009 as the brand’s first full-size convertible and quickly achieved cult status. Production of the first series continued until 2019; more than 11,000 units of this extraordinary vehicle hit the road. In 2024, Maserati introduced a new generation of the GranCabrio, based on an advanced platform and featuring all-wheel drive as well as the revolutionary Nettuno V6 engine a powerplant derived directly from the MC20 supercar.

The “Trofeo” version is the sportiest variant with an internal combustion engine in this luxury spyder’s model lineup.
