A unique set in the form of a diorama of blocks, with which you can build a story block by block! Created in collaboration with two world-class armored weapons museums, the set includes two historical models as well as elements of the environment and accessories.
Under the designation Panzer 38(t) there is a Czechoslovakian light tank LT vz, which was produced until 1942. 38 was used by the German army after the occupation of Czechoslovakia. The Panzer 38(t) was developed on a scale of 1:35 based on a museum exhibit, which can be admired in the German Tank Museum in Münster.
The Matilda II, on the other hand, is a famous British infantry tank that was used on various fronts throughout the Second World War. This model has also been carefully designed on a scale of 1:35 and its appearance is directly related to the museum piece, which is located in The Tank Museum (UK).
We have symbolically combined two models of famous tanks in the scenery of the Battle of Arras, which was fought on May 21, 1940 during the French campaign.
At that time, Matilda II tanks had the opportunity to face German units equipped with, among others: Panzer 38(t) tanks. The Allied counter-attack at Arras allowed valuable time to be prepared at Dunkirk for the evacuation of troops to Britain during Operation Dynamo .
Tanks and elements of the diorama in the form of building fragments, lampposts and two signposts to Arras and Dunkirk symbolically refer to historical events that had a major influence on the course of the Second World War. The models have a working chain traction and the armored towers are movable and can be rotated. Only high-quality, durable prints are used on the blocks. You won't find any stickers here!
This extensive set with the logos of two renowned museums is not only a treat for collectors, a great history lesson and many hours of fun building a diorama, but also a great introduction to your adventure with Polish COBI terminal blocks. The Battle of Arras completes the collection of 1:35 scale vehicles released as part of the Historical Collection World War II.
