BuildArmy Camo Puma WW2 German Armoured wheeled vehicle Sd.Kfz. 234/2 (508 pcs)
The Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma was a legendary armored car of the Second World War. The German army needed fast reconnaissance. The Puma was designed to traverse difficult terrain and gather information for armored divisions. Its eight-wheeled chassis allowed for incredible mobility. It identified enemy positions before they could react.
Earlier scout cars had many limitations. The engineers solved this problem by installing a powerful V12 diesel engine. They also installed a unique dual steering system. A second driver could steer the vehicle backwards at full speed to avoid danger. The "Puma" variant was equipped with a 50 mm KwK 39/1 cannon. This was the same caliber as the early medium tanks. A slim, fully enclosed turret protected the crew.
The Puma was used on both the eastern and western fronts. Its 50 mm cannon destroyed enemy infantry and light vehicles with ease. Today, historians remember it as a masterpiece of engineering. The model was designed with technical precision and authentic proportions in mind. The finished model reflects the mechanical complexity of the real vehicle. It makes an excellent centerpiece for any war re-enactment or historical scene.
