Auf fast allen Videos vom T-Rex 250 ist zu erkennen, dass das Heck leicht schwingt. So auch bei unserem Exemplar. In Zusammenarbeit mit Knut Schasse (robbe) ist Albert Fruth dem Problem nachgegangen und kann folgende Erklärungen dazu geben.

Was hilft nicht:
- Anderer Kreisel (Spartan, GY 401)
- Blätter kürzen,
- Kreisel anders montieren
- Proppellermomentgewichte

Was hilft:
- Akku gut befestigen
- Chassisschrauben kontrollieren
- Delay an GP 750 erhöhen (wirkt nur wie Expo, reduziert aber nicht Servogeschwindigkeit)
- Langsameres Servo (was aber nicht positiv für die Heckperformance ist)
- Die eckigen Blätter sind deutlich besser als die Sichelförmigen
- Kreisel mit nicht zu weichen Klebepad befestigen

Letzendlich konnte mit einer Videoaufnahme mit 600 Bildern/sec die mechanische Ursache gefunden werden: Der Heckrotorumlenkhebel verdreht sich. Dadurch kommen Steuersignale des Servos nicht bei der Steuerbrücke an und wenn die durch die Torision des Hebels gespeicherte Energie wieder freigesetzt wird, übersteuert die Steuerbrücke das Heck und damit muss der Kreisel wieder verstärkt zurücksteuern und das Spiel geht von vorne los.
Die Torsion des Hebels (rot Markiert) kommt von dem aussermittigen (Mitteblaues Kreuz) Kraftangriff des Gestänges (grün markiert) auf die Mitte der Anlenkkugel.
Als Abhilfe kann der Arm des Umlenkhebels mit einem Kohlefaserroving (oder Glasfaser) möglichst im 45° Winkel umwickelt werden und dann mit Sekundenkleber fixiert werden. Auch schadet es nicht, den Ansteuerdraht mehrfach zu lagern, ermangels Ersatzteile wurde eine 1mm dicke ABS-Platte mit dem Messer angepasst und mit Skundenkleber auf dem Heckrohr fixiert.

Version 2.0 Tutorial Videos Online:

The new version 2.0 tutorial videos are now online, and can be installed using your Automatic Updates system the next time you run Phoenix. (Select System > Check for Updates if you do not have automatic checking enabled).

These videos with full audio commentary are flown by expert pilots Mike Williams and Duncan Osborne, and show a large range of different manoeuvres from the absolute basics to advanced 3D.
Look out for more demonstration flights and tutorial videos in the near future.

RealFlight G4.5 is now available as a public beta download! Here's your chance to get it early. Keep reading for a list of the major changes it contains.

Perform the following steps to obtain the update:

1. Start the RealFlight G4 Launcher
2. Click Additional Options, then Technical Support
3. Click Enter Tech Support Code
4. Enter the following code: B#aq8qqy45j22f (If successful, you will see a message saying "You are now registered to use the Public Beta site until the new version is posted to official download site.")
5. Go back to the main Launcher menu and click Registration/Updates
6. Make sure that in the bottom left corner it says Temporary Public Beta (PS). If not, try reentering the code
7. Click Update to Latest Version, or click Update to Specific Version, choose 4.50.021 from the list, and click OK.

The LauncherHelper will need to restart partway through this process. Answer "Yes" when it asks if you want to continue downloading the new version. When this process is finished, you will have the lastest available version of RealFlight G4.

Special notes:
This update is nearly 1GB in size. Here are instructions on how to break that up into several smaller chunks.
G4.5 requires Windows 2000/XP/Vista. Windows 98/ME are no longer supported.
